Note 4: Restrictions (Contra-indications)

We can’t treat you for this, or the other treatments listed in this page/website, if you have any of the contra-indications that means that you can’t be treated, see restrictions in the “Consultation Form” screenshots/attached document below; it means we can’t treat you in this area until this issue is resolved. Some contra-indications mean that we can possibly treat you, but first you have to obtain guidance from a qualified medical practitioner/GP to advise if you are suitable for this treatment and what (if any) adjustments we need to make to the treatment for you. Please also see the facial products sub-page of this web-site (we ask this as part of the consultation process) to check yourself you are not, as far as you are aware, allergic to any of the products.

Note 5: Non-Refundable Booking fee of £ (UK) 5.00 (Five UK Pounds Only). This will count towards the payment due if the treatment is completed. If you turn up on the day without booking and discussing in advance, we reserve the right to ask for 50% of the fee to be paid before treatment starts (with another 50% afterwards).

Note 6: For insurance purposes, we are required to keep a copy of completed consultation form in the client’s legal name for several years, but we will do so in a password protected and robust way in compliance with the Data Protection Act. To book in advance, a non-refundable £ (UK) 5.00 (Five UK Pounds Only) booking admininstrative fee by bank transfer applies (this will hold your booking for up to 10 minutes from the agreed start time and date, if you are any later than this, we may start treating someone else without refunding you). This is to help evidence that you are a real person (not AI bot wasting time) and that you are using your lawful legal name on the consultation form (which is a requirement). If you don’t want to pay a booking fee, you can turn up to our salon space on the day, but we might be too busy to treat you, or you may have to wait to be treated.

Note 7: We recommend you bring your own towel and bottle of water. We do try to have disposable “single use” towels as well, but we reserve the right to charge an extra £ 1.00 in advance for the towel (this £ 1.00 extra charge will be waived if you are paying for the “luxury facial” or “full body massage”.

Aftercare guidance for facial(s) (guidance for waxing is below this)

Immediate Aftercare (First 24-48 hours):

  • Avoid Makeup: Give your skin a break to breathe and absorb the treatment by skipping makeup for at least 6-24 hours.
  • Gentle Cleansing: Use a mild, non-abrasive cleanser to wash your face. Avoid harsh scrubs or exfoliants.
  • Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water to help flush out toxins and keep your skin hydrated.
  • Avoid Heat: Steer clear of hot showers, saunas, steam rooms, and intense workouts for at least 48 hours.
  • Sun Protection: Apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher, and avoid prolonged sun exposure.
  • No Picking: Avoid touching or picking at your skin to prevent irritation and potential infections.
  • Skip Exfoliation: Avoid any other exfoliating treatments or products for a few days.
  • Consider Clean Bedding: Using a clean pillowcase can help prevent bacteria from transferring to your face.

Longer-Term Aftercare:

  • Gentle Skincare: Continue using mild cleansers, moisturizers, and serums, and avoid harsh active ingredients like retinoids or strong exfoliants.
  • Regular Sunscreen: Make sunscreen a daily habit to protect your skin from sun damage.
  • Follow Recommendations: Adhere to any specific product or treatment recommendations from your aesthetician.
  • Hydration: Continue to drink plenty of water to support overall skin health.
  • Schedule Regular Facials: For best results, consider scheduling regular facials (e.g., every 4-6 weeks) to maintain your skin’s health and glow.

By following these aftercare guidelines, you can help your skin recover from the facial treatment, minimize potential irritation, and enjoy the benefits of a healthy, glowing complexion.

Aftercare guidance for waxing

  • Cool down: Use cool or lukewarm water for showers and avoid hot baths, saunas, etc.
  • Avoid heat and friction: Stay away from gyms, exercise, swimming, and tight clothing for at least 24 hours.
  • Protect from sunlight: Avoid tanning and sunbeds for 24-48 hours.
  • Keep it clean: Avoid touching the area with unwashed hands and consider using a gentle, unscented cleanser.
  • Soothing products: Use a recommended antiseptic cream or aloe vera gel to soothe and protect the skin.
  • Moisturize: Keep the area moisturized to help prevent ingrown hairs.
  • Exfoliate (later): Once the skin has settled, gently exfoliate 2-3 times a week to prevent ingrown hairs.
  • Avoid harsh products: Don’t use deodorants, perfumes, or other scented products on the treated area for 24 hours.
  • Consider your clothing: Opt for loose-fitting, breathable clothing to minimize irritation.
